This internship program will help SOE expand its impact while providing valuable experience for young professionals looking to make a difference!
The Sistars of Empowerment (SOE) Internship Program is designed to provide students and aspiring professionals with hands-on experience in nonprofit leadership, community outreach, event planning, and women's empowerment initiatives. Through mentorship, skill-building, and real-world projects, interns will develop valuable professional skills while contributing to SOE’s mission of empowering women and youth through sisterhood, education, service, and networking

Internship Details
Program Duration & Structure

Length: 12-16 weeks (with flexible options based on academic requirements)

Commitment: 10-15 hours per week

Internship Roles & Responsibilities
1️⃣ Community Outreach & Program Coordination Intern
🔹 Assist in planning and executing SOE’s empowerment programs and outreach initiatives.
🔹 Engage with the community through events like Women’s Empowerment Week, Self-Care Con, Back-to-School Drives, and Domestic Violence Outreach.
🔹 Coordinate logistics, recruit volunteers, and track impact metrics for programs.
2️⃣ Event Planning & Marketing Intern
🔹 Support the planning and promotion of SOE’s signature events (Women’s Empowerment Tea Party, Books & Brunch, Karaoke & Kocktails, etc.).
🔹 Assist with vendor coordination, sponsorship outreach, and event logistics.
🔹 Create promotional materials and execute marketing strategies.
3️⃣ Social Media & Content Creation Intern
🔹 Develop engaging social media content to highlight SOE’s programs and initiatives.
🔹 Manage posts, reels, and stories across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).
🔹 Assist with email marketing, blogs, and newsletters.
4️⃣ Fundraising & Grant Writing Intern
🔹 Research and identify potential sponsors, donors, and grant opportunities.
🔹 Assist in writing grant proposals and sponsorship requests.
🔹 Help develop fundraising campaigns and donor engagement strategies.
5️⃣ Administrative & Operations Intern
🔹 Support SOE leadership with administrative tasks, data entry, and communications.
🔹 Assist with membership coordination and volunteer management.
🔹 Organize and maintain program documentation.

🔸 Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
🔸 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
🔸 Proficiency in social media, event planning, or nonprofit work (depending on the role).

📌 Qualified candidates will be invited for a virtual or in-person interview with SOE leadership.
Step 3: Orientation & Onboarding
📌 Selected interns will attend an orientation session, receive training, and be paired with a mentor for support throughout the internship.
